Keep Guests Healthy and Happy with Special Summer Wellness Packages

Looking for a seasonal treatment to set your spa apart this summer? Take a cue from The Alpina Gstaad (Gstaad, Switzerland). The alpine resort opened in December 2012 and is already receiving top accolades (read our full overview of the resort and spa here). This luxury hotel and Six Senses Spa added four Summer Wellness Retreats and one Julien Balmer- led Mountain Yoga Retreat to its already luxurious menu. For three, five or seven days, participants experience a comprehensive and personalized wellness program composed of Sense of Ayurveda, Sense of Detox, Sense of Fitness, Movement and Balance, and Sense of Alpina. Accommodations and the spa cuisine menu are included in the package and visitors are encouraged to add on the Six Senses signature massage for true Nirvana during their stay.

Sign me up! The closest I’ve come to a yoga retreat so far is a Saturday morning class in the city or watching Eat, Pray, Love, but I can’t imagine a better way to rejuvenate and bask in luxury than a wellness-focused week. I hope to create my own healthy haven on my upcoming honeymoon filled with fitness classes, fresh food, and relaxation in the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
