Spa Sangria

It's Cinco de Mayo and in light of today's festive date, I found a refreshing drink recipe from El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village, Waldorf Astoria Resorts (Puerto Rico). This Coconut Sangria is a fun tropical twist for anyone not in the mood for a margarita. Whether it’s at home or on the resort’s 100-acre private tropical Palomino Island, this cocktail is perfect for spa-goers craving a fresh fruity drink in the warmer months.

Sangria de Coco (Coconut Sangria)

Ingredients:
2 oz of White Wine
1 oz of Don Q Coconut Rum (Note: made of real coconut extract and natural essential flavor)
1 oz of Apple juice
1 oz of Pineapple juice
3/4 oz of Cream of Coconut (Coco Lopez recommended)

Steps:

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix.

2. Serve in a glass with ice. Garnish with pineapple or apple.
