I’m always on the hunt for a new nutritious recipe, and spa chefs seem to have the most delicious ideas. At last week’s ISPA Alex Szekely Humanitarian Award Dinner, I received a booklet of salsa recipes and salsa bowl from Rancho La Puerta’s culinary team. Here’s a delicious, sweet salsa worth adding to your repertoire:
Mango Tango Salsa
Ingredients
- ½ cup diced red onion
- 3 Roma tomatoes, seeded, and diced ¼-inch
- ¼ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 jalapeno or Serrano chile, seeded and minced
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about two limes), or to taste
- 3 mangos, peeled, seeded, and diced ½-inch
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in serving bowl, adding the mango last. Add variety by substituting strawberries, pineapple, or other tropical fruit.
