Wellness on the Runways

Fashion Week has once again filled studios around New York City and Lincoln Center's tents with upcoming styles, not to mention inspirational and aspirational beauty looks. It also brings loads of stress each day with little time for relief for those who most need a spa respite. This year one of the runway spaces at The Highline Hotel hopes to remedy that with a series of Fashion Fitness Food events. Ongoing through Sunday, Sept. 7 a number of yoga, meditation, and fitness classes combined with healthy food and drinks will provide a bit of balance and the much-needed wellness break for industry pros.

That's not the only way wellness has found a place in New York Fashion Week this season. The Mandarin Oriental, New York is offering an exclusive Runway Ready Hotel Package ($8,298 for up to two guests), which includes tickets to the Rodarte show, two nights accomodation, and pre-show pampering at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York among other stylish perks. Farther downtown a rooftop oasis awaits harried fashionistas at Gansevoort Meatpacking complete with DJs, free juices from Juice Press, complimentary massages from Exhale Spa, and more.
