HURRICANE IVAN FORCES POSTPONEMENT OF SPA & RESORT AND MEDICAL SPA EXPOS IN MIAMI

- REED EXHIBITIONS DECIDES TO POSTPONE EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 12 & 13 UNTIL DEC. 13 & 14 TO AVOID ANY POTENTIAL DANGER TO SPONSORS, EXHIBITORS AND ATTENDEES AS CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE THREATENS FLORIDA -

NORWALK, Conn., Sept. 9 — In a move to protect the safety of attendees, exhibitors and employees, Reed Exhibitions today announced that it was postponing the Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expos and Conferences in Miami planned for Sunday, September 12 and Monday, September 13 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The announcement was made by Greg Topalian, Vice President and Show Director of Reed Exhibitions. "The protection of everyone involved in these two events is the primary concern of our company," said Mr. Topalian. "We will not place anyone in harm's way and we urge full compliance with all local, state and federal authorities on travel to and from Miami."

Mr. Topalian said that the shows have been postponed until December 13 and 14, 2004. They will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Beach.

According to the U.S. Weather Service, a category five hurricane, such as Hurricane Ivan, packs winds in excess of 155 MPH and a storm surge greater than 18 feet. It is the most dangerous level of tropical cyclone.

Yesterday, Hurricane Ivan devastated the island of Granada killing at least 20 people. The powerful storm is moving in a north-northeast direction directly toward Jamaica, Cuba and Florida.
