ISPA HOSTS 9TH ANNUAL MEDIA EVENT IN THE BIG APPLE

The 9th Annual International Spa Association (ISPA) Media Event was held last Thursday evening, July 24 at the W
New York on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. Twenty ISPA member spas arranged beautiful displays and performed mini versions of their treatments.

Destination Hotels & Resorts, Golden Door Spas by Wyndham International, and Loews Hotels were among the heavy hitter corporate sponsors, as well as estabilished destination spas such as Lake Austin Spa and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa. New spas such as Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, Trellis spa at the Houstonian, and Sundara Spa in Wisconcin also made a showing. Mini treatments ran the gamut, from standard spa fare such as facials and massage, to "mindful golf" and "prana breath therapy."

Top journalists from numerous top media outlets attended the event, including: NBC's 'Today' Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Lifetime Television, Allure, Elle, Self, InStyle, Vogue, Town & County, and the Wall Street Journal.
