As part of Marriott International’s luxury portfolio, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has launched Spa by JW. The new spa concept offers guests treatments and products designed to address the company’s four core pillars: Calm, which offers a moment of serenity and downtime to restore balance; Indulge, which features a range of therapeutic treatments to revitalize; Invigorate, which enlivens the body and clarifies the mind; and Renew, which purifies the mind and body so guests feel more centered and focused. Developed in collaboration with JW Marriott brand partner and skincare company Aromatherapy Associates, the spa provides on-demand services starting at 12 minutes that include hand and scalp massages, as well as full-body scrubs, facials, nail services, and more. Spa-goers can also experience massage chairs with embedded scent infusers, noise-reduction technology, and cell phone charging stations. “Our guests are incredibly passionate about wellbeing but they don’t always have the time to invest in cultivating it,” says Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand manager for JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts. “They are looking for an experience that delivers true impact and results that are tailored to their state of mind. Spa by JW offers an environment where clients can choose exactly what they want, when they want it, without any of the intimidation or hassle.” The first Spa by JW opened in September at the JW Marriott Houston Downtown, and the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar (India) will follow in December, with an additional 20 spas planned around the globe.
