Marriott International plans to open eight "super luxury" hotels by 2006 under the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts joint venture, which was announced in February.
Two of the Bulgari hotels are slated to open as early as next year, said Anton Najjar, Marriott's VP/International Hotel development.
The eight properties in the first phase of development will be located in: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Paris, London, and Italy. All properties are expected to have full-service spas.
