Massage Therapy Foundation Elects Two New Trustees

On March 1, The Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) welcomed two new members to its board of trustees: Sharon Marden Johnson and Lynda Solien-Wolfe; the former will serve a one -year term until  February 28, 2014, while the latter will serve a two -year term until February 28, 2015. 

Licensed in the state of Maine and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork, Sharon Marden Johnson has had a full-time massage therapy practice for 30 years. She’s also volunteered for the Massage Therapy Foundation since 1997, chairing a number of committees and serving as vice president during the Foundation’s formative years.

Lynda Solien-Wolfe-- a graduate of the Space Coast Massage Institute in Melbourne Florida--is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Florida and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. In 2011, Solien-Wolfe was inducted to the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame. Among her many contributions: serving eight years on the Florida Board of Massage Therapy (including a tenure as chairman), and serving on the advisory board for Massage Magazine. Currently, Solien-Wolfe co-owns a clinic in Merritt Island, Florida and is the director of education and research-massage therapy and spa for Performance Health, the makers of Biofreeze and Thera-Band products.
