Envy Medical, a leader in the field of dermatology, medical aesthetics, and professional skincare, has hired Sona Tolani to fill the newly created role of senior vice president of marketing. “Sona is joining the Envy Medical family at a pivotal stage in our growth cycle,” says CEO Arash A. Khazei. “She has an outstanding combination of strategic thinking and the industry experience required to advance our products and technologies deeper into the global marketplace. We are very excited to have her on board.” Tolani will build an aggressive marketing strategy to strengthen awareness of the Envy Medical portfolio of brands among a new segment of savvy consumers seeking visible skincare results that are effective, safe, and trusted by physicians. She will focus on growing market share through a comprehensive global retail strategy within the physician and consumer channels. “I plan to cultivate the ClarityMD, SilkPeel, and Lumixyl product pipeline, ensuring heightened consumer awareness and global penetration in key markets,” says Tolani. “The Envy Medical solutions are the culmination of highly effective formulas and results-driven treatments built on a foundation of forward-thinking innovation and scientific integrity. We forecast a very bright future for these innovative brands.”

Tolani joins Envy Medical from Dermalogica, a Unilever brand, where she was senior director of global marketing. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. During her tenure at Dermalogica, since 2007 she managed the entire global product portfolio consisting of a range of retail and professional products. She was responsible for product innovation, brand marketing, and centralizing creative development so that local markets flawlessly launched new products with a consistent brand message worldwide. Prior to joining Dermalogica, Tolani was senior marketing manager of cosmetics at L’Oreal Paris, where she was instrumental in growing the eye category, including mascara, eyeliners, and eye shadows. She began her career in the beauty industry in hair care for salon brand Sebastian International, developing new product concepts and initiatives.
