Esthetic Experts Go Virtual During Coronavirus Pandemic

With growing concerns over COVID-19, many businesses are thinking out the box when it comes to serving their clients, and that's true for some in the medical aesthetics field. For example, Johnny Franco, M.D., FACS, founder of A More Beautiful You Plastic Surgery (Austin TX), is taking steps to ensure patients don’t have to come in for things like pre- and post-surgical checkups and consultations.

According to Franco, virtual/online appointments have been a common part of his practice as they have patients from all over the state and country. In an effort to accommodate patients, he opened up this option to all patients.

"Aesthetic surgery is like many other areas of medicine in that it relies heavily on in-person interactions," he says. "With the advent of the Coronavirus pandemic, our usual hands-on approach is being modified to allow patients who are scheduling consultations and follow-ups to do these virtually from the comfort of their home. Because the vast majority of our patients schedule months in advance, we want to ensure that we are able to accommodate them safely and securely.”
