Zarin Medical’s PiQo4 Picosecond Laser recently received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for tattoo removal. The laser is also cleared to treat pigmented lesions, melisma, and seborrheic ketosis. The system was designed and manufactured by Focus Medical and features four unique wavelengths—1064nm, 532nm, 650nm and 585nm—and offers up to 2,000mJ in a single pulse as well as spot sizes up to 15mm. It also includes a Q-Switch mode to allow for multiple options for picosecond and nanosecond pulse durations to remove all tattoo colors.
