They can do just that at the Waldorf Astoria Spa at the Boulders, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, which has added new programs for a healthy brain. Developed by Karen Janusz, the spa's nutritionist and certified brain fitness facilitator, spa guests now have the opportunity to learn more about the brain and how it works. The programs help those suffering with arthritis or other conditions that reduce range of motion and movement as well as those suffering from inner ear conditions that cause dizziness and loss of balance. It also helps with gait problems and for those that take four or more prescription medications. Brain Fitness Neurobics sessions include a broad spectrum of vibrant mental activities designed to increase the ability of the brain to make new connections and Balance and Mobility sessions aim to reduce participants' risk of falling and enhance thier functional strength for daily life. These classes are complimentary for resort and local spa guests.
