NAHA 2013 Online Entry Process Now Open

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) announced that the online entry process for the 2013 North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) is now open. All entries are due February 8. Due to the level and quality of entries, applicants are encouraged to utilize the tools PBA provides at probeauty.org/naha on how to create a successful entry. For those that become NAHA finalists and attend the NAHA Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, PBA is creating an all new "finalist experience" that will include social events, networking opportunities, press training, and education. NAHA finalists will also be pampered with special gifts, meals, and entertainment.

Other 2013 NAHA Changes & Developments:
Men's Hairstylist of the Year: The new "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" award will be added to the lineup of the current 13 NAHA categories. The recipient of this award must master current men's commercial, contemporary, and wearable styling trends. "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" will honor a stylist who displays the highest proficiency in the designs and techniques used in men's styling and grooming.

Make-Up Artist of the Year: NAHA has also changed the entry rules for the "Make-Up Artist of the Year" award. For the first time, competitors can submit their own entries without being nominated by a hairstylist. This allows makeup artists not affiliated with a stylist or salon to showcase their work.

New Rules: Several updates and changes have been made, specifically regarding the use of photo manipulation. All entries will require unedited images for all final entry images submitted. For more details visit probeauty.org/naha/rules.

All applicants for all categories, except Make-Up Artist of the Year, must be licensed cosmetologists or cosmetology students and adhere to the specific rules and regulations of the category they are applying for.
