1 Hotels and Kind Traveler Partner on Charitable Rewards

1 Hotel South BeachThis month, 1 Hotels joins the launch of Kind Traveler, the first 'Give + Get' hotel booking platform that transforms the travel experience by rewarding travelers for making charitable donations. Through this partnership, travelers who give to a local or global charity will be rewarded for their donation with an exclusive rate to book directly with 1 Hotels, and 100 percent of the donations raised on the Kind Traveler platform are given to charity. “Our win-win platform offers solutions for everyone,” says Jessica Blotter, CEO and cofounder of Kind Traveler. “For travelers, they become warriors for good and support hotels that are making a positive impact in the world while receiving exclusive hotel rates. For hotels, they cultivate new relationships with cause-minded consumers and take another step towards corporate social responsibility. For charities, they receive 100 percent of donations and a new, sustainable channel for fundraising.”

The newly launched Kind Traveler sets itself apart from online booking services. Kind Traveler has created unique technology that sends the traveler’s information from Kind Traveler’s site directly to 1 Hotels’ booking engine to complete the transaction. This direct booking also allows hotels to communicate directly with guests, both before, during, and after their stay. Also, Kind Traveler highlights each property in a meaningful way by connecting the traveler with the property’s local charitable affiliation and its ‘Kind Metrics’, which is a term they use to explain how the hotel is impacting individual wellness, sustainability, and the community. Telling the hotel’s personal charitable story helps to reinforce a commitment to corporate social responsibility from both its travelers and properties. “Our mission at 1 Hotels is to incorporate sustainability in a luxurious and comfortable way,” says Shadi Omeish, general manager at 1 Hotel South Beach. “We are always looking for ways to better the hospitality industry which is why a partnership with Kind Traveler felt like an organic and exciting fit. Both brands are dedicated to our communities and showing travelers they can enjoy their time away while still being socially responsible.”
