ASTECC Partners with Universal Companies

The Advanced Spa Therapy Education and Certification Council (ASTECC) is partnering with Universal Companies, according to ASTECC founder and industry vet Anne Bramham. The partnership will produce postgraduate training at Universal's Torrance, CA and Abingdon, VA learning centers.

“We’re excited to be working closely with Universal Companies,” Bramham says. “Over the years our trainings have largely been with destination and resort properties, and we look forward to working with and training independent practitioners."

Universal Companies is a leading vendor in the spa industry, providing education, equipment, and supplies, among other services. Through the new partnership, ASTECC will offer estheticians and body therapists training in a range of natural and holistic therapies, including connective tissue, aroma-reflexology, and bio-chemical elements. Additional training offered includes manual lymph draining, originally developed by Emil Vodder, M.D., founder of the Vodder School International, where Bramham has been an accredited instructor since 1995.

“ASTECC training is holistic in nature,” Bramham says. “We recognize health and beauty are reflections of one’s internal environment and that each of us has inherent ‘constitutional’ needs. It’s an exciting field. There is a growing demand for this holistic, highly individualized approach.”
