This month, microdermabrasion equipment and professional skincare company, DermaMed Solutions selected Roberta Lamperti as the winner of the Aesthetic Education Award. Lamperti will receive $1,000 for her educational expenses at Spa Tech Institute (Westboro, MA), which is a DermaMed Solutions' Aesthetic partner school. "We received many fabulous new applications and essays for our Aesthetic Education Award, and all the candidates we reviewed were qualified, passionate, and articulate," says Ginger Hodulik, vice president of research and development for DermaMed Solutions. "However, the application that stood out to us was from Roberta Lamperti, who truly understands and agrees with our holistic philosophy toward attaining healthy skin. We wish her great success in her future career in esthetics."
DermaMed Solutions has recognized two students annually with its Aesthetic Education Award for the past four years. Applicants must be interested in attending or already enrolled at an accredited esthetic program, express their passion for the skincare industry, and share the core values of DermaMed Solutions. The winners each receive $500, with a bonus of an additional $500 if the selected student attends one of DermaMed Solutions' partner schools. Partner schools are required to promote the program by placing award information and the application link on the school website, and distributing the Aesthetic Education Award flyer in financial aid packets.
The next deadline for the Aesthetic Education Award nominations is July 31, 2016. Students must submit an application on www.dermamedsolutions.com and a one-to-two page typed essay or a three-to-five minute video explaining their desire to become an esthetician. Also, schools interested in participating can visit the Aesthetic School Partnership page on the website to view more details on how to become a partner.
