Giella Custom Blend Cosmetics to Host Blending Certification Class

Giella Custom Blend Cosmetics is offering its first ever custom blending certification class, on June 18-25 at the Multimedia Make Up Academy in Troy, MI.

The 72-hour certification class will teach guests how to mix and market their own custom-blend cosmetics, which is part of the Giella brand. Giella has been custom blending cosmetics for 16 years since its initial launch at Henri Bendel in New York City. Giella custom blends makeup in minutes, including matching colors to those of discontinued products.

During the class, guests will learn color theory, formulating, and how to blend cosmetics on the spot. Attendees will learn about creating their own foundation, mineral highlighters, blush, powder, eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, and skincare products with the ability to control the color, density, texture, ingredients, and function based on user needs.

The course supplies students with all they need to become their own chemists, helping to eliminate waste by creating only what artists need when they need it. The Giella Blending Box includes 85 blush pigments, powder, mica, glitter, metal, and fluorescent pigments, emollients, transformers, and color correctors to blend liquid foundation, mineral foundation, setting powder, eye shadow, blush, highlighter, gel liners, and more. The Box also includes a heater and glass vials for mixing and pouring cream products such as lipstick, lip gloss, cream blushes, and liners.

Participants will also learn how to market their Giella Custom Blend Cosmetics in their own companies by selling through direct sales or in salon and retail locations. Presently, Giella Custom Blend is sold in 12 stores across the U.S. as well as online. The cosmetic line is PETA certified and uses no animal testing, is nut-sensitive and allergen free.

The class will take place from 9 am to 6 pm. Price for participation is $3,700.
