Out of the 58 spas globally, the Spa at the Grand came out on top in 2010. The Spa at the Marriott Shoals, also part of the RTJ Spa Trail, ranked 6th globally for guest satisfaction in Marriott and JW Marriott spas.
Marriott International uses a third-party company specializing in guest satisfaction to rate all areas of the hotels, including spas. Owned by the Retirement Systems of Alabama, both the Grand Hotel and the Marriott Shoals are four diamond properties and are part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail’s Resort Collection.
