In light of the recent developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) has decided to cancel IBE Berlin 2020 + Uplink Live, and postpone IBE Dallas 2020 and BeautyX Retail Summit in Dallas. Back in February, IBE considered the idea of postponing IBE Berlin to June, but due to various reasons, including that the venue had no availability that month and that the vast majority of the exhibitors preferred to keep the event on its scheduled date, the change was not made. Now with the new travel restrictions between U.S. and Europe and the uncertainty of everything right now, IBE made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
As for the BeautyX Retail Summit and IBE Dallas, these events will be postponed to a later date. BeautyX Retail Summit will now take place June 8-9 in Dallas, and IBE Dallas will now take place June 10-11. "We believe that by taking proactive measures now and moving the event to a lower risk month we can strike the best balance of delivering against our promise to our summit attendees, while protecting the health and safety of our guests, team members and the Dallas community," says Christopher Napolitano, education and thought leadership, Indie Beauty Media Group.
