Industry Gurus Offer 'Four-Day Spa MBA'

Want to help your spa recover before the recovery? Then sign up for the Spa Director’s Management Intensive seminar from Wynne Business Spa Consulting and Education, which takes place May 23-26 at the Inn at Saratoga (CA). Described by previous participants as a “four-day spa MBA,” the seminar is taught by Lisa M. Starr and Peggy Wynne Borgman, both of whom are 25-year veterans of the spa industry.

The program includes in-depth modules on leadership, employee development and appraisal, quality management, recruiting and interviewing, financial management, program development, retail management, spa marketing, and sales skills. This year, the curriculum has been rigorously updated with recession-recovery tactics. Instructors will discuss strategies to help spas rebuild profit margin lost during aggressive marketing and yield management campaigns.

Participants range from experienced spa owners and managers to vendors, investors, and startup entrepreneurs. Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary one hour private phone consultation after returning to their spas to help them apply what they’ve learned to their unique situation.

Early bird tuition discounts and discounts for multiple registrants from the same company are available. Tuition ($1,995 per person) includes breakfast and lunch daily and all course materials. For a complete agenda and registration information, visit www.wynnebusiness.com.
