Miraval Life in Balance Spa (Dana Point, CA) recently appointed Jacqueline Berry as its new general manager. With the new year, Berry now operates the spa at Monarch Beach Resort and all of its treatments and services.

Entering the industry at age 18, Berry brings more than 20 years of experience with her to Miraval Life in Balance Spa. Since then, she has continuously worked within the spa and wellness industries, serving as the director of multiple spas, including those at Lake Austin Spa Resort, Canyon Ranch, (Tuscan, AZ) and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Berry began her wellness career in massage school, and her professional career led her to be a massage therapist with the well-known Steiner Leisure Limited. During the Sun Princess’ first season, Berry was the youngest crew member aboard the cruise ship. As an expert in leading large teams, Berry’s experience spans from resorts to day spas, to cruise ships and boutique hotels. Her in-depth background makes her a perfect candidate for Miraval, which offers a range of spa treatments, fitness, and meditation classes.

"I have spent the last decade working for some of the best destination spas in the industry," says Berry. "I have always admired and had tremendous respect for the Miraval brand. Being a native to Southern California and working on cruise ships for years, I have missed the ocean and how therapeutic it is to be around it these past years in Arizona and Texas. I am absolutely thrilled with the amazing opportunity to expand Blue Mindfulness here in this perfect coastal setting."
