The Mirbeau Companies wants to make it easier for people coping with health issues to have access to self-care. Widely recognized as an essential part of overall wellness, self-care is even more vital for people with life-threatening illness. The new Mirbeau Cares initiative will provide one free spa day per month to those in need.
Mirbeau Cares originally rolled out in November of 2018, when the company decided to partner with local charities in order to give back to those suffering from severe illness. Beginning this summer, now the Mirbeau Cares initiative will bestow a Mirbeau Cares Spa Day to one person a month at each of the company’s award-winning resort and day spas; Mirbeau Inn & Spa (Skaneateles, NY), Mirbeau Inn & Spa Pinehills (Plymouth, MA), and Spa Mirbeau, a day resort located in Albany, NY. The program will be offered at Mirbeau Inn and Spa Rhinebeck (NY) when it opens in New York’s Hudson Valley this fall.
“Having an opportunity to relax and indulge a little, away from the stresses of the outside world, is especially important for someone who is going through the physical and emotional challenge of a serious illness,” says Michael J. Dal Pos, CEO of Mirbeau hospitality services. “It’s our pleasure to be able to provide that escape through Mirbeau Cares for those in need among our community of guests and their loved ones.”
Interested participants can nominate themselves or someone they know. Nominees must be diagnosed with or have overcome a life-threatening illness, or be a deserving caregiver of an ill person. Each winner will receive a Touch of Class Day Spa package (starting at $190), including their choice of one 50-minute massage, facial, or nail treatment, along with a three-course lunch, including tax and gratuities.
