The Spa Mart and Morning Star Trading Company—two wholesale spa distributors who serve the central Texas spa and wellness industry—have joined forces and partnered together. Morning Star Trading Company closed the doors to its brick-and-mortar location on April 19, while The Spa Mart will continue to carry on its spa products and become the brand's new supplier for spa professionals in central Texas.

"Morning Star Trading Company is an Austin institution for the spa and especially the massage therapy community,” says Teddy Lester, cofounder of The Spa Mart. “Our team of spa professionals at The Spa Mart are dedicated to serving the needs of our spa and spa professional partners and welcome the opportunity to humbly serve Morning Star's customers."

Morning Star Trading Company was established in the Austin, TX, area nearly 27 years ago, in an effort to build a community for massage therapists. The brand’s founder, Melissa Gonzales, developed the store to supply massage tables, oils, spa products and gift items to therapists within the area and around the country. The Spa Mart is a curated spa distribution company that carries over 3,000 spa supplies and products in a climate-controlled, 7,000 square foot facility in Georgetown, TX. The brand, that will now carry Morning Star Trading Company products, offers local delivery to both Austin and San Antonio, as well as nationwide delivery options.

To ensure a smooth transition of Morning Star products, The Spa Mart team worked alongside the Morning Star Trading Company at its storefront location prior to its closure. The two brands also ran a pop-up store in April to showcase Morning Star’s many new spa products.

“[We] are honored to have [Melissa] Gonzales’ input as we embark on this endeavor, and are very thankful to her for bestowing her trust in us,” Lester said on behalf of himself and The Spa Mart cofounder Tori Clark. “We will strive to make her proud.”
