Nutricosmetic recognized by top beauty editors as "Product of the Week"

Yesterday, I read the Club Spa Blog by SpaFinder and was happy to see that the “Product of the Week” (tested and chosen by SpaFinder’s top beauty editors,) was a Nutricosmetic!  Although the Editor had some minor comments (such as the fish oil smell from the soft gel,) she confirmed that after a month her skin was glowing and that the benefits far outweighed any concerns she had in the beginning. This product was now to be a staple in her daily beauty regimen!

As a Nutritionist & Formulator specializing in natural beauty, I am so happy to see the spa industry recognize and implement nutrition and supplementation into their beauty programs. This is really half of the program and if you are only utilizing topical products and treatments, you are missing 50% of the program.

To help answer the editor’s question about the fish oil, she was correct that the product contained krill oil and the benefits of krill oil outweigh standard fish oils to help bring out beautiful glowing skin!  So I am not surprised by her glowing results after 1 month of use.

Here is the lowdown on Krill Oil:  I am sure you have heard the health benefits of Omega 3’s for your skin.  Omega 3 oils found naturally in fish such as salmon or in natural nuts and seeds help to maintain healthy cell walls to keep skin looking plump and glowing. These essential fatty acids have also been shown in human clinical studies to help minimize and manage inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema or psoriasis. Recently Krill Oil (a crustacean) is starting to take center stage in nutraceuticals, especially for skin health benefits.  Krill oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, which is the main reason it's becoming popular as a nutritional supplement. Another reason krill oil is becoming popular is because it contains an antioxidant called astaxanthin. Antioxidants help protect our cells from damaging free radicals, unstable substances that are thought to contribute to certain chronic diseases (including inflammatory skin conditions.) These desirable properties of Krill Oil make it a far richer ingredient (over standard Omega 3’s) to help protect the skin from free radical damage, control inflammation and maintain healthy skin cells.  A winning combination for beautiful skin!
