Deborah Szekely at Dollywood's DreamMore Resort (Pigeon Forge, TN)In her quest to share healthy values with the nation, TV host and natural health explorer Debra Koerner is hosting a new show for PBS stations nationwide called ‘Senior Moments’. The show will premier in November and will feature interviews with leading wellness experts to uncover the secrets to healthy aging. Valuable partners participating in the show, include ResortSuite as an underwriter, exclusive apparel partner Anatomie, exclusive makeup partner La Bella Donna, exclusive skincare partner Skin Authority, and the International Spa Association (ISPA), which will support crew travel costs. “We have to do something right now to empower and educate our older population to keep them healthy and in their homes for as long as possible,” says Koerner. “’Senior Moments’ will help older adults and their caretakers set a path toward wellness and stop the crisis we are heading toward as our older population begins to pressure our healthcare system.”

In 2013, Koerner launched her first show ‘The Journey into Wellbeing’, which currently airs on PBS and follows her around the globe inspiring a health transformation. Koerner’s new show will focus on four special places that she believes hold secrets to health and longevity and have valuable stories to tell, including:

  • An interview with Deborah Szekely, founder of the Mexico-based destination spa Rancho La Puerta (Tecate, Mexico).
  • The staff at Dollywood's DreamMore Resort (Pigeon Forge, TN), where 35 percent of the workforce is over 55, will uncover secrets to employing and enriching the lives of older adults.
  • Hospice of the Bluegrass, an organization committed to providing the highest quality end-of-life care to patients and their families, will give expert guidance for how seniors can stay in their homes longer.
  • Scientists at the Kogod Center of Aging at the Mayo Clinic will discuss research of how people can stay healthy in their senior years. Koerner will also cook up healthy recipes at Mayo Clinic’s Healthy Living Center.
