Repêchage Sponsors the Lang Lang & Friends Annual Gala

Repêchage sponsored the Lang Lang International Music Foundation’s annual fundraising gala held in Manhattan on Oct. 17. The honorable event raised funds for the organization, which aims to educate, inspire, and motivate the next generation of classical music lovers and performers. Founded by world-renowned pianist Lang Lang in 2008, the foundation strives to ignite passion for music in youth so that they can be leaders in bridging cultural gaps and helping to unite local and global communities. At the gala, more than $2 million was raised for the foundation’s Keys of Inspiration program, which is a three-year public school partnership that has established a pathway into the world of music for elementary school children and serves as a model for urban public school music programs across the country. The evening included a solo recital by Lang Lang; performances by Michael Feinstein, Jeffrey Wright, and Lisa Fischer; special appearances by young scholars from the Lang Lang International Music Foundation; and students from P.S. 046 Arthur Tappan in Harlem and Boston Arts Academy’s Jazz Quintet. Attendees also enjoyed a gala dinner and a gift bag of Repêchage skincare products. “It truly was an amazing night filled with so many talented young people coming together for a wonderful cause,” says Lydia Sarfati, founder and CEO of Repêchage. “We were pleased to take part in the event, and will continue to support this wonderful organization.”
