Sophy Merszei, president and CEO of NovaLash, was named one of Houston's Most Influential Women of 2012 by Houston Women magazine. Honorees were celebrated at an afternoon tea at the St. Regis Hotel on Jan. 6. As the president and owner of NovaLash, Merszei is passionate about making every woman feel instantly pretty, so she commits herself to developing only the most researched, physician-approved and face-friendly products. In addition, Merszei dedicates herself to fighting for legislation to create more training that leads to higher-paying jobs for women (the majority of whom are single moms) in Texas. She also gives back to her community and her world by affiliating with charities such as Girls Inc. and the UNICEF Haiti Relief Fund for Children. She received the 2007 ICMAD Cosmetic Innovator of the Year Award and was also recognized by the National Association of Professional Women with the associations VIP Women of the Year Award in 2011. Also in 2011, Merszei was voted one of Houston’s Most Beautiful Women by Health and Fitness Sports magazine.
