How many years have you been involved in the spa industry?
25 years

What was the path that led you into the spa industry?
I started as a massage therapist and then a yoga teacher in the late 70's and early 80's. Spiritual and personal transformation is my passion and I love working with people that become close friends. I love to co-create with people. The Spa industry is a natural fit for my lifestyle of health, fitness and spirituality.

What is your favorite place in the whole world?
Bali and my home in Napa Valley.

If you could have any profession in the world, other than what you do now, what would you be?
A midwife or working with babies. I have just turned 60 and want to work with children in some capacity in this next decade of my life.

What is your go-to spa treatment?
A Facial/ Massage Combo

 What is your proudest accomplishment?
The Mud Bar concept at Solage Calistoga

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A better memory!

Care to share any details on family life; i.e. spouse, partner, children, pets?
I feel so grateful for my life. I get to travel, experience adventure, live life full out and be surrounded by deep love of family and friends. I am grateful for my partnership with Peggy Francis. And of course one of my great joys is my sweetheart. He is an Executive Chef (YUM!) and teaches at Rancho La Puerta twice a year and I get to tag along.

Two things about yourself we don’t know
1) I am very shy and don't enjoy speaking in public.
2) When it is time to create a spa concept, I get very nervous and doubt myself. I always go through the same process. I have just begun to trust something will come forth (in time). It is happening in my dreams of late.

What is your motto or concept that you live by?
Be gracious in the bad times and grateful in the good times.

What is your most treasured possession?
My family and friends.
