What was the path that led you into the spa industry?
As a Hotel Management Graduate, I moved overseas at the start of my career and while in Asia on frequent business trips, I started to dibble dabble in textiles – spending time in the fabric markets, sketching & eventually creating a women's evening collection and selling it in the Middle East. On a trip back home to Vancouver to visit my family, my sister, Patricia, who is an esthetician, was 8 months pregnant and didn't have a uniform to wear… I designed and made a tailored, but stretchy uniform for her, did my research and found there wasn't a "spa uniform" on the market… only medical scrubs / lab coats etc.. I immediately registered www.SpaUniforms.com and the rest is history…

If you could have any profession in the world, other than what you do now, what would you be?
Exactly what I am doing now. I get to be creative, work with amazing people and have the schedule flexibility to be with my family!!
What is your go-to spa treatment?
I have a facial and pedicure every month at my sisters spa thefacialroom.ca
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Launched multi million dollar companies while balancing my family life – married with three children, horses, dogs,etc
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would be in two places at once!!!! – but not possible!!!
Care to share any details on family life; i.e. spouse, partner, children, pets?
I have a pretty amazing husband! Once we started having children, we both agreed we didn't want nannies raising our babies, so Lindsay became passionate about being a stay at home dad. I couldn't do what I do if it wasn't for our partnership!!
Two things about yourself we don't know
I am a horseback rider and have another division I am very passionate about www.AsmarEquestrian.com For me, riding is my form of Yoga… I am a typical type A personality and I find it challenging to be "still" – have to work at this. But when I am with my horse Jake – I absolutely need to be in the moment – for my own safety and the safety of Jake.. A ride out on the trails by ourselves refreshes my mind and spirit. Another thing you may not know – my father is Lebanese… my mom Irish Norwegian, and I am a real "foodie" – love to entertain and cook.
What is your motto or concept that you live by?
Failure to Plan is a plan to fail!.... I live by that
What is your most treasured possession?
Our home… it's our family solice.. we all like to spend time at home together– we live on acreage with horses and dogs outside, I love the smell of the barn. The visit from the barn cat...
