Jasmine Gibbs of Jazz It Up NYC Salon (Brooklyn, NY), was selected as a NAHA 2012 finalist in the categories of New Comer of the Year and Texture. Gibbs, a Redken stylist and winner of Redken’s Road to NAHA contest, had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be mentored by Redken’s Education Artistic Director and past NAHA Master Hairstylist of the Year, Kris Sorbie. She won the mentorship when she competed against other stylists to create a signature look. She was expertly coached by Sorbie to prepare for a photo shoot in NYC for the 2012 NAHA Submissions. “Thank you so much, we had a great team,” says Gibb. “This would not have been possible without the support of everyone at Redken. I can’t believe this is real.”
