SANIJET HOSTS FIRST-EVER LEADERSHIP SUMMIT ON BATHING

PipelessTM hydrotherapy bath technology company brings leading spa authorities together for networking, brainstorming, hiking, and fun!

May 17, 2004 (St. George, Utah): Dallas-based SANIJET Corporation made spa history when it gathered top spa directors from around the country at Red Mountain Spa to discuss the opportunities and challenges of bathing in a spa environment. The majestic high desert of Utah provided the perfect setting for networking and brainstorming, as attendees shared the intimate destination spa experience.

"SANIJET knows how to manufacture safe and sustainable whirlpool baths better than any company, yet before launching fully into the spa market felt it imperative to listen to the industry's leading minds," said SpaTrade's Nancy Griffin, who managed the event. "It will be exciting to see the many new innovations and improvements for spa owners, directors, technicians and spa-goers that will result from this Summit."

The SANIJET advisory board members consists of leading spa consultants and directors from top spas such as Red Mountain Spa, The Broadmoor, Canyon Ranch, Montage Resort, Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, The Alamo Plaza Spa and Spa Gregories. These experts confirmed and enhanced the results of a research project commissioned by SANJET before the Leadership Summit that explored the market for hydrotherapy services. The results of the independently-conducted research project helped SANIJET gain insight into key consumer perceptions as well as the operational issues spa directors face on a regular basis. Research findings and Summit discussions identified important challenges and opportunities.

• Overwhelmingly, day and resort spa directors feel strongly that hydrotherapy services are important to incorporate in a spa environment. As one spa director observed: "Hydrotherapy is the foundation on which the whole concept of 'spa' is built..."

• There are significant financial, labor, operational, and marketing challenges associated with the delivery or hydrotherapy services

• Spa guests are leery of hydrotherapy for a number of reasons, such as embarrassment and especially safety concerns. In a recent SpaTrade survey, three-quarters of spa directors responded that their clients are concerned about the health and safety issues of hydrotherapy.

• Day spas have a unique opportunity to educate guests about the benefits of hydrotherapy, because of the intimate relationships they share with a more localized and frequent clientele.

• Foot care is a major trend that is extending beyond traditional pedicures. The treatments work especially well in destination spas, where guests are hiking and working out.

The SANIJET Advisory Board will reconvene at the International Spa Association Conference in November to build on the issues raised at the May Summit, and the company plans to make the Leadership Summit an annual event. "Fifteen of the spa industry's most insightful and innovative leaders have made the commitment to serve on our advisory board. Their professional expertise is essential in helping SANIJET provide the spa industry with the best equipment and services necessary to deliver hydrotherapy treatments in a manner that is safe, effective, and innovative," said Philip J. Klement, SANIJET's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. We are grateful for their service and dedication to the spa industry."
