Sibu Beauty, a seabuckthorn-based skincare and supplements brand, has appointed Robert A. King as chief executive officer. Previously president of A.M. Todd Botanical Therapeutics, an international botanical extract supplier, King brings years of international experience, particularly in Asia where he was involved with the construction of the largest stevia extraction facility in the world—covering 160,000 square-feet located in Anji, China, and has audited more than 200 sites.“We are thrilled to have Robert join our Sibu team,” says Peter McMullin, president of Sibu Beauty. “His background rounds out our leadership, and we look forward to utilizing his knowledge base to help our brand maintain its positive growth.” King’s education includes a Bachelors degree in biochemistry and a Masters degree in business administration. His 25-year career has been centered in pharmaceutical and life science applications, where he has held a variety of sales, marketing, and corporate management roles, including Eli Lilly & Company, Millipore Corporation, and HyClone Laboratories prior to joining A. M. Todd in 2003. A member of the American Botanical Council, King has also served on the board of trustees for the American Herbal Products Association. He has also been active in the United Natural Products Association.
