Spa-goers can get a true taste of Tuscany at The Spa at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco (Italy), courtesy of eight new body oils, each featuring healing local ingredients from southern Tuscany. Made with travelers in mind, the oils enhance many of the resort’s spa treatments by reducing the effects of jet lag, energizing and invigorating the body, and rebalancing the mind so that guests can make the most of their time away. Among the highlights:
Energia (Energy): Ideal for softening and rejuvenating skin, this Mediterranean oil blends gorse, iris, and rosemary to combat stress. Used in daily massage, it maximizes its energizing effects.
Relax: The soothing powers of cypress, iris, and lavender help those suffering from fatigue, anxiety, or insomnia.
Equilibrio (Balance): This iris-, lavender-, and sage-scented oil boasts balancing properties and is intended to recalibrate the body and mind.
Risveglio (Awakening): Ideal for frequent travelers, this dog rose and peppermint oil is best used following a long plane ride to reduce jet lag and fatigue and restore energy and balance to the body.
Riposo (Rest): This chamomile, jasmine, and lavender-scented body oil is ideal for calming evening massages to encourage relaxation and sleep.
Seta (Silk): This oil hydrates the skin and adds shine to the hair.
Leggerezza (Lightness): Scented with cypress, lavender, and rosemary, this sculpting body oil enhances circulation and helps detoxify.
Dolci Coccole (Sweet Embrace): This calming oil is excellent for preventing stretch marks and for massaging delicate baby skin.
“When we created the body oils, we wanted to add a distinctly local touch to our spa treatments,” says spa director Enrica Bugnano. “Each product offers a distinct remedy ideal for travelers. The body oils capture the scents, herbs, and flowers of the Italian countryside, taking guests on a sublime journey that evokes the essence and beauty of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, no matter where they are.”
