Soothe, an on-demand massage company that lets users schedule a same-day massage in the privacy of their home, recently launched in London. With $47.7 million in funding to date, Soothe has launched in 23 cities since 2013 and has plans to launch in 20 more before next year. "We're thrilled to expand to the UK and offer Soothe to London residents," says founder and CEO Merlin Kauffman. "Everyone deserves to have a massage after a long day at the office."
Soothe currently has a network of more than 3,300 licensed, vetted, and insured massage therapists globally. The company currently offers Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, or Pre-natal massages between the hours of 8 am and midnight daily. Massages are fixed-price per person, including tax and gratuity. The current prices are: $129, 60 minutes, $179, 90 minutes, and $219, 2 hours. Soothe clients can also re-book the same therapist on future occasions. "Our growth is really due to the experience our massage therapists deliver," says Kauffman. "They provide spa-quality treatments without the hassle of finding parking or dealing with traffic. In addition, our massage therapists earn three to four times more than the industry standard." Clients can book a Soothe massage by downloading the iOS or Android app (soothe.com/app). Those who are unable to download the app can book on www.soothe.com.
