As the newest member of the American Spa editorial team, this is my first opportunity to attend ISPA. It’s been a wonderful, whirlwind experience so far—inspiring speakers, educational sessions, and pampering products. The products top my list and I’m happy to say I spent most of day one perusing the aisles of the exhibition hall and learning about new innovations, ingredients, and treatments that I’m sure would fit perfectly in so many of your spas.
Also a high point of the day, Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS and this year’s ISPA Alex Szekely Humanitarian Award recipient, welcomed attendees and spoke at the morning session. He shared his inspiration for TOMS and the One for One business model as well as encouraging entrepreneurs to “start something that matters”. Mycoskie also signed TOMS products and his book on the Expo floor.
Today I’m looking forward to a few treatments at the Relaxation Area. What are you excited to see at this year’s ISPA?
