Spa Magazine Stress Frein the Music Business - Releasing Stress Free, Healing CDs

Spa, the magazine of healthy living, travel, and beauty, is taking its message to music. In partnership with Decca Label Group, a division of Universal Music Group, Spa is releasing the Stress Free Music Series, a new CD collection dedicated to pursuing a healthier and more peaceful way of relaxing through music.

The first two CDs, STRESS FREE: Music for the End of the Day and HEALING: Music to Soothe the Mind and Body, are both slated for this week. Featuring some of the world's most beautiful classical music of all time, the CDs also include a letter from Spa magazine Editor-in-Chief Julie Sinclair with tips for creating a personal spa-at-home sanctuary.

"The goal of the series, like that of the magazine, is to create a respite from the stresses of everyday life, providing inspiration for relaxation and rejuvenation," said Sinclair

STRESS FREE: Music for the End of the Day is a serene, relaxing and meditative musical experience, leaving the listener wonderfully calm after the stresses of everyday life. The disc includes selections by the most beloved composers ever, including Beethoven, Debussy, Bach, Vivaldi and more.

HEALING: Music to Soothe the Mind and Body also provides the ultimate in relaxation, aiding listeners in minimizing anxiety and stress. Featuring Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat and "The Swan" from Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals, the CD also highlights works from Debussy, Bach and Mozart.

"Music affects us physically, emotionally and spiritually, which is why Spa magazine is excited to partner with Universal Music Group to sponsor the launch of the Stress Free Music Series. We hope this CD series inspires our readers to pursue health of body and mind and live a more rejuvenated life everyday," said Michelle Gamble, Publisher of Spa.

Paul Foley, general manager of Decca Label Group, said, "Our mission is to open classical music to a wider audience. This partnership with Spa will bring the world's greatest classical music to a new consumer and at the same time enhance the spa experience as a lifestyle."
