SpaExec Marketing & Retail Roundtable to Be Held at Sanctuary on Camelback

SpaExec, the Business Support Network for Spa Executives, will host its 3rd event in Scottsdale-focus is on unique marketing and retail needs of luxury resort spas

More than sixty Arizona Spa Directors and Directors of Marketing will meet at The Sanctuary on Camelback in Paradise Valley, Wednesday August 8th. Hosted by Sanctuary's Spa Director LaRae Verros and Director of Sales & Marketing Kathy Massarand, the event will focus on 'hot-button' issues such as increasing guest capture rate, improving retail sales, and creating the ideal balance of resort, group, and local business.

'We are thrilled to be hosting our third SpaExec event in Scottsdale,' said Nancy Griffin, Managing Director of SpaExec and SpaTrade. 'This is such a tight community of intelligent and passionate spa executives--the response has been overwhelming.' The event kicks off at 5:30pm, beginning with brief presentations and targeted roundtable discussions, then finishing with 'spatinis' and gourmet spa cuisine from Sanctuary's Executive Chef Beau MacMillan. (Chef MacMillan recently claimed victory over Bobby Flay on The Food Network's series Iron Chef America.)

'We are delighted to have such a showcase spa property as The Sanctuary host our next event,' says SpaExec co-founder Michelle Gamble, Publisher of Spa Magazine. Sanctuary, the Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice Award #1 Resort in US, has offered 'out-of-towners' a special room rate on August 8th, as well as a 25 percent discount on spa treatments.

The results of SpaExec's analysis of the marketing and retail sales needs of luxury resort spas will be released at the event. An extensive member survey profiles profitable marketing tactics, intra-resort strategies, systems for retail sales promotions and training, and much more marketing know-how 'from the horse's mouth.'

SpaExec regional events balance education and networking, with each event focusing on a critical area of spa operations. SpaExec's June 5th event in Las Vegas put the spotlight on Consumer Advocacy and Safety. Held at Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the evening featured educational presentations, networking, and a wine tasting. Special guests included Tim Jones, Director of Safety for MGM, Lisa Cooper, Executive Director of the Nevada Board of Massage Therapy, and Vincent Jimno, Executive Director of the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
