A Look Inside an Italian Resort's Globally Inspired Spa

Located in the emerging Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, the 90-room Palazzo di Varignana Resort & Spa recently introduced the renovated 3,700-square-foot VarSana Spa. Offering a selection of globally inspired offerings, the spa features a Turkish Hammam and Japanese ryokan, the first of its kind in the area, as well a water circuit that incorporates a number of soaking tubs, sensory showers, a bio-sauna, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an ice waterfall, a sound bath, a Kneipp circuit, a swimming pool with water jets and water blade waterfalls, a whirlpool, and a relaxation area with the new Crystal Bar serving post-pampering refreshments. Also available is a 24-hour fitness center outfitted with Technogym equipment as well as an Aufgussor sauna expert who leads rituals promoting the healing properties of heat.
