The recently renovated all-suite adults-only boutique hotel welcomes LGBT guests and friends and ensures their stay is the utmost in relaxation. One of the highlights of the renovation is the addition of the poolside spa, Water Club Curaçao. It features an oversize steam room, dry sauna, rain showers, a relaxation area, and a fitness facility in an open-plan, European-style design. Hotel guests have complimentary access to the spa amenities and can also select from a curated menu of massages and nailcare services offered at an additional cost in private treatment rooms. Day passes ($25), monthly memberships ($200), and annual memberships ($2,000) allow locals and other island visitors to enjoy the spa facility. Says sales and marketing manager Jurandy Regina, “Our guests like to be pampered, and the spa is one of the greatest amenities our hotel has to offer.”
When I visited last June, the spa had just opened for guests. It is ideally located adjacent to the lively pool area to entice guests who've had a little too much fun in the sun. I enjoyed lounging by the pool before my massage and tour of the boutique spa facilities. The open design is not for the faint of heart, or shy, so I was happy to be the only visitor. After the massage, I stayed to watch the sunset at the nearby beach. The golden hour colors provided the perfect ending to a pampering-filled day at Floris Suite Hotel - Spa & Beach Club.
