Starwood Capital Group has created Baccarat Hotels & Resorts, a five-star luxury hotel brand inspired by the Baccarat company.
Starwood Capital, which is led by Barry Sternlicht, former CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, is also behind the Crillon and 1 Hotels & Resorts brands. The new brand will draw upon the luxury and hand-crafted quality Baccarat is known for, according to the company. Each hotel will range from 80 to 250 rooms and will feature signature Baccarat chandeliers, world class dining options and exclusive services.
The first Baccarat Hotel will be located in Wailea, HI and is expected to open in 2010. Additional properties will be located in the Caribbean, Europe and the Far East.
