Bourbon-Inspired Concoctions Give Seasonal Spa Menus a Kick

As the weather turns colder, certain treatments take on new appeal. One that sounds perfect for the fall and winter months is The Hot Toddy Aromatherapy Massage ($59, 30 minutes; $99, 60 minutes) at The Spa at Desert Springs at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa (Palm Desert, CA). Available through January, the treatment relies on products from FarmHouse Fresh. "The blending of nourishing oils from jojoba, sunflower, grape seed, and olive oils, combined with the essence of cinnamon and orange peel, will leave the skin nourished and hydrated," says spa director Dawn Ferraro. This fall, bourbon also plays a starring role in the Bourbon on the Rocks Pedicure ($85, 50 minutes) at Kohler Waters Spa. This cocktail-inspired treatment is in celebration of the 12th annual Kohler Food & Wine Experience and is available through December at The American Club Resort (Kohler, WI) and at the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa (St. Andrews, Scotland). The pedi features a nectar milk soak, a bourbon-scented scrub, and a warm honey glaze mask for the feet. It also concludes with Crispin's Honey Crisp Hard Apple Cider served on the rocks. I can't think of a better way to welcome the colder months that are coming. What treatments are you looking forward to this season?
