Cobblestone Yoga

If there's a fitness trend or exercise class available in New York City, I've likely tried it or am on the waitlist for it. I realized that until this week, I hadn't participated in an outdoor yoga class. It's National Yoga Month after all so it was high time to try some alfresco poses. The complimentary fresh air class I signed up for was held around the corner from the Meatpacking District's Exhale Spa (multiple locations) on a cobblestone pedestrian plaza. The cobblestones were an extra balance challenge and the throng of onlookers kept Zen just out of reach, but I definitely got a good workout in thanks to a teacher with a good sense of humor and clear instructions and a live musician for a soundtrack. Namasday classes like the one I participated in were held at and near many different Exhale outposts to give aspiring yogis all over a chance to strike a pose.
