Environmental Shield Vitamin C Fusion Facial

For clients wanting to reverse the signs of aging, Murad's Environmental Shield Vitamin C Infusion Facial ($110, 60 minutes) begins with a thorough cleansing of the face, neck, and décolleté under steam using Essential-C Cleanser. The esthetician then analyzes the skin and performs extractions.

Unless contraindicated, high frequency is applied. Next, cotton pads saturated with Essential-C Toner are swept over the face, neck, décolleté, and top of hands. The esthetician then mixes Environmental Shield Pure Vitamin C Powder and Activator Gel in a small bowl. Once a creamy consistency is achieved, the formula is applied to the previously toned areas. For 10 minutes, effleurage movements are used to massage the formula into the skin. After the formula is removed, the esthetician applies Soothing Massage Cream to the same areas and massages for another 10 minutes before removing with moist cotton pads. Hydrating Gel Mask and an optional Eye Renewal Mask are then applied. After the masks are removed, the skin is treated with Hydrating Toner and Cellular Replenishing Serum. Essential-C Eye Cream SPF 15 is applied around the eye area, and Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 15 or Essential-C Night Moisture is applied. Lips get in on the act as well with an application of Soothing Lip Therapy. To finish off the facial, the esthetician places a warm towel folded lengthwise around the client's neck and shoulders and gives a light pressure-point massage.
