Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa Helps Revive Runners

I've only run one full marathon in my life, and something (the blood, sweat, and tears it took to cross the finish line) tells me I probably won't be training for another anytime soon. However, I'm constantly in awe of those who continue to compete in various endurance events. One race I might actually consider lacing up my running shoes for is the upcoming Kauai Marathon on Sept. 2. Tempted by the island's natural scenery and lush landscape, I'm sure it would be a run to remember. I had a chance to train there years ago when I visited the Grand Hyatt Kauai's award-winning Anara Spa (Koloa, HI). If Kauai's beautiful setting isn't reason enough to get out there and pound the pavement, then the spa's Runner's Escape is certainly another enticement. Treating weary soles, the treatment includes a cool lavender-lemongrass foot soak, an invigorating sports massage, and an aloe and Hawaiian ti leaf wrap with a cool-stone rub to revive tired feet and legs. For athletes short on time, there are the Runner's Refresh, a 25-minute rejuvenator that wraps feet and calves in a Hawaiian ti leaf and aloe as warm and cool compresses are applied, and Foot Relief, a 25-minute lavender foot soak and gentle leg massage. As the Headquarters Hotel, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is hosting the Sports & Fitness Expo, Fun Run, VIP Dinner, and more. I can't think of a better place to recover from a 26.2 mile run.
