IECSC Takes On New York City

IECSC New York 2014This past weekend, the American Spa team and I attended the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference (IECSC) at the Javits Center in New York City. Co-located with the International Beauty Show New York, the show took place March 9 to 11, and attracted an impressive number of spa and beauty professionals to the nation's beauty and fashion capital. IECSC New York has become the premier spa event in the northeast region of the country, attracting spa owners and managers, estheticians, cosmetologists, massage therapists, medical estheticians, and doctors, among many others who converge to discover and learn about the latest trends in the spa industry and purchase products from suppliers. In addition to a bustling exhibit floor, attendees took advantage of seminars and workshops, where they learned about the best business practices, saw live demonstrations, and more from leading educators in the industry. Luckily, for me, I’ve been walking tradeshow floors with my mother, who has been in the beauty and spa industries for more than 18 years, since I was a little girl, and this year was better than ever as we both made great purchases and discovered new looks and techniques. Plus, she even had a chance to meet my colleagues. Our next IECSC show will be taking place in Las Vegas from June 21 to 23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To find out more, click here. Hope to see you there!
