Juicing Greens

On Sunday, I, like many fans around the country, plunked down on my couch to cheer on my favorite NFL team. (I'm from Denver originally so I'm a happy fan today.) Unlike most viewers, I took advantage of the commercial breaks to make a few vegetable and fruit juices to stay healthy and avoid typical football fare. Though my juicing was very free-form—toss a little kale, a few chunks of pineapple, and sprigs of mint and more—here is a recipe for green juice from Moon Juice Shop that's sure to get a standing ovation from spa-goers.

  • 1/2 bunch of kale
  • 1/2 bunch of dandelion greens
  • 1 fistful of spinach (packed)
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley
  • 6 stalks of celery

Blend well in a high-powered blender and strain or alternate celery stalks with the other ingredients and press through a juicer.
