If you’ve been reading our blog over the past few years, you’ll know that we here at American Spa are a little obsessed with nails. From nail gels to fun lacquer names, we’re always experimenting with and commenting on what’s new in nails. So when OPI’s new Pure Lacquer Nail Apps arrived at the office yesterday, we were all clamoring to try them on. The verdict? We’re all in love. (Here, I’m sporting Black & Grey Rattlesnake while my art director Kara Baranski is wearing Girly Glam). The strips are super easy to apply. First, nails must be clean and dry. Next, peel the strip away from the backing and apply to the nail and smooth. Finally, crease the strip at the nail edge and file off the excess, and viola, you have fabulous looking manicure that is totally dry, doesn’t damage nails, and looks like it took hours to apply. For spas, this is an awesome retail option for clients who want to create a custom look at home. And to make it part of an in-spa service, simply apply the strips yourself, cover them with a coat of Clear Gel Color by OPI, and cure it under the UV light.
