The Next Breakthrough in Healthy Travel

healthy travel

Pursuing a healthy lifestyle is more popular than ever thanks to more wonderful ways to be well all over the world. Getting to those wellness-focused retreats hasn't always been the healthiest, though even that's changing with health-focused airlines, airport spas, and more pampering perks for the journey. We've just scratched the surface of what's possible with wellness, and I think it's incredibly exciting. The future of wellness travel might be just around the corner. Those with an especially entrepreneurial spirit can enter their great healthy travel ideas in Mission Wellness, a brand new competition launched this week by Well+Good and Even Hotels. This shark tank-style competition is in search of the next innovation in healthy travel—products and services that make it easier to keep active, eat well, rest easy, or accomplish more on the road. Entrants must submit an application by Sept. 29 detailing their idea and company. Well+Good and Even Hotels will review all eligible applications, and 12 finalists will be announced on Oct. 10. Judges will evaluate applications based on innovation, the background and composition of the team, and business viability. All finalists will get a profile on Well+Good, so keep an eye out for those great ideas to go live and voting to begin on Oct. 10. The reader-selected grand prize winner will be announced Oct. 24 and will receive a featured spot on a Times Square billboard, advertising and editorial coverage on Well+Good, product placement in multiple Even Hotels, feature on www.wellwellwell.com, and $3,000 cash prize.
