When I accepted an invitation to visit the destination of Cabos San Lucas, I had no idea the brief four-day trip would eventually stretch into a week on account of Hurricane Sandy. While there are definitely worse places to be stranded, I really wanted nothing more than to return home. Fortunately, I finally made it back to my beloved and broken New York City earlier today. I can't help but feel like one of the lucky ones, as I arrived home to find a hot shower and all the essentials waiting, something many on the East Coast are still lacking.
